Academic organization

School climate

We believe a warming climate begins with a gentle and respectful behaviour between the teaching staff and the students, a good organization in class and care of ones material. We think students have to show a personal attitude which foments learning, good relationship, working in group and capacity of responsibility.

Tutorial

The master teacher follows the students’ development throughout the year. His fundamental task is to help the students’ personal improvement and their intellectual expansion; to help them with their difficulties and with the acquisition of helpful studying habits.

Course department

Is the one which elaborates the individual and group studies which help the students to improve throughout the year. It also gives a global diagnostic and controls the evolution in each case. Divers learning capabilities and different scholar capacities make helping activities necessary for some students. Urgell School gives its students the chance to improve in some subjects (language and mathematics) in reduced class groups. The three basic areas are:

  • Tutorial assessment to students and families.
  • Different level attention depending on the learning difficulties and development of the students.
  • Academic and professional orientation.

Meetings with parents

At the beginning, right in the middle and at the end of the year, parents are called to be informed. At the beginning, to get the written information about the starting year; in the middle, to give them a general view of the first part of the year; at the end, to talk about the final situation of their children.
